In this guide, we’re going to be going over everything you need to know about multiplayer in RimWorld for PC on Steam.
How to Play Multiplayer With Friends in RimWorld![]()
RimWorld really knows how to sink hours and hours of your time. But you have a life, of course. You need to balance your gaming with hanging out with friends. What better to do that than to play RimWorld with them, eh?
Well, even though the game is finally – after so much time – out, online multiplayer wasn’t in the cards. By the traditional means, you won’t be able to grab a bud and raise a colony together (or as enemies). This isn’t any Civilization VI.
Note that I said “traditional means” though. Thanks to the amazing intellect of the modding community, you can do so with the power of mods.
Using Phi Mod, you’re going to be able to have “multiplayer interactions” between player colonies.
This allows you or a friend or multiple to set up a server (or head into the global default one) and start wrecking havoc. Ahem… maybe peaceful havoc, too? Sure, let’s pretend you’ll be nice at all.
With the mod, you’re going to be able to chat with players in the server, send or receive pods containing items, and even send colonists. Now, that last one is still in beta, but it’s better than nothing, right?
First and foremost, you need to download the mod. Do so here, and click on the Beta download buttons. Note that as of right now, the mod isn’t up to date with RimWorld 1.0. This will likely be updated, but I just needed to tell you that’s the case at the time of me writing this post.
After downloading it, you’ll get a zipped file. If you don’t already have the means to unzip it, I recommend using IZArc since it’s free and use it to unzip it.
Next, you’re going to want to look for your RimWorld mods folder. Here’s a direct tip from Rim-World on how to easily find this:
Move over the folder you got after you unzipped it, into the Mods folder.
Finally, you have to enable the mod within the main menu of the game. Before setting up a colony or loading into one, do so under “Mods.”
Once you’re in the game, if you want to set up your own folder, I recommend you follow the instructions here under How to Set Up Your Own RimWorld Multiplayer Server. It requires downloading a setup file, launching the executable, and more general black magic.
All in all, it’s as complicated as it always is to play a PC game online with friends when there’s no official server support, unfortunately. But it definitely is doable, and all you need is patience to set it all up.
As soon as Ludeon Studios decides to add MP in themselves, we’ll be sure to update this post.
For now, though, if you’re looking for more mods, I recommend checking this post with the best RimWorld mods out.

How To Install Rimworld Mods Steam
Playing with Minecraft Mods is the great goal of most Minecraft players, the truth is that this can often become a significant headache, given that most of these players do not know and can not begin, we bring a tutorial complete of how to install Minecraft mods using forge.
Why should you use Minecraft Forge?
First of all let’s explain how the mods work, and what the forge is for; Each mod has its developer, there are lots of programming codes to add new features and features to Minecraft, but most of these mods need a tool that can clearly make the best minescraft mods load with the highest compatibility possible with game, and other mods.
That’s where Minecraft Forge comes on the scene; Forge is a free tool (Modding API) designed to support the mods created by the Minecraft community, so most mods practically require it. You should check if the mod needs the forge.
Now that you’ve learned a little about Mods, in theory, let’s put into practice how to install Minecraft mods.
If a floor is moved, any pinned sketch boundarylines will just move with the whole floor - rendering the pin command inside a sketch pretty useless. Revit cant delete curtain wall grid. This happens even if the floor sketch lines themselves arepinned when editing the floor. NB. .

rimworld ep 1
As a game, Rimworld is as frustrating as it is hilarious. That’s really part of the charm, though, which has given gamers a lot of leave to amp up both aspects of the game. Players of Rimworld have modded the game to make it easier and harder to play, more ridiculous, less random, and even more unpredictable. If you are looking to create a better experience in the game, you’ll want to look at this list of the best Rimworld mods.
Tell us what you think are the best mods for RimWorld.
Zombie Apocalypse
The base version of Rimworld is already about crisis management, so why not amp things up a few hundred more notches by throwing zombies into the mix? This mod introduces a zombie plague that spreads in the traditional manner, which gives you an entirely new set of messes to deal with. Install this mod if you are looking for a way to introduce a new form of chaos into your colony.
Fluffy Relations
Managing relationships is a vital part of Rimworld, but the base social tab is actually kind of awful. If you want an improved way to figure out your colonists’ relationships, you’ll need to download this mod. It tracks all the relationships in a simple, easy-to-read graphic, which in turn should allow you a chance to better keep an eye on how your colonists are interacting.
Edb Prepare Carefully
Do you want a little more control over how your colony is started? If so, this is the mod for you. Edb Prepare Carefully allows you to kit out all of your starting colonists with the stats and backgrounds of your choosing. This mod gives new players a great chance to survive the earlier parts of the game while still allowing pros to set up their own little chaotic experiments. This is definitely a good mod no matter where you are on the experience spectrum.
Combat Realism
There’s no nice way to say this – combat in Rimworld sucks. It’s got weird physics and doesn’t always make sense. The Combat Realism mod aims to fix all that by making it conform to something that’s a bit closer to the actual laws of physics. It won’t necessarily save the lives of your colonists when something goes wrong, but you’ll feel a lot less robbed when it happens. Consider this one as a bit of insurance against the utterly random nature of the game’s combat engine.
Colony Manager
This mod from Fluffy is another great tool for streamlining the game. It will help you set up basic production lines to automate your colonists’ tasks, which in turn frees you up from some of the micromanagement in the game. It doesn’t work perfectly, but the ability to add a colonist manager and let the game go about its business does allow you to focus on some of the fun stuff while still keeping your colony alive. Definitely a must-install for those who hate to micromanage.
Glitter Tech
While Rimworld’s rusty aesthetic is pretty cool, sometimes you just want nice things. Glitter Tech brings with it all the bring and shiny sci-fi toys that you could want, allowing you to turn your little colony into a beacon of progress. Of course, that beacon can and will attract a lot of unscrupulous parties who want your new stuff, so be prepared to cause a lot of carnage if you want your base to look pretty. Pick this one to really expand upon the world of the game and what you can build.
Orion’s Hospitality
This great mod adds a little more functionality to the random non-hostile strangers who visit your colony. The mod allows you to entertain the strangers and develop relationships with them, which can in turn lead to them giving you more free stuff. If you invest a lot of time and effort, you can even turn these strangers into new colonists. It’s a great new way to add more meaning to the presence of these nomads and a fun way to get a bit more out of the game.
Rimworld’s got plenty of other mods, but these are the best of the best. Whether you want to change up how the game works or you just want new hair options, there are more mods out there for you. If you want the best Rimworld experiences, though, take some time to install these mods. You’ll soon find that the game is better with them than it is without.
